In 2004 the school received excellent results in the Higher School Certificate.  Rewa Sivarajah received an UAI of 97.25 and is studying Commerce at the University of New South Wales.  Zena Abbas received an UAI of 96.45 an has enrolled in a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Sydney.  18 students gained access to University, 35 students have enrolled in TAFE.  13 students are working and 5 have started apprenticeships or traineeships.  Sonia Jamal, our school Captain in 2004, was awarded a Department of Education Scholarship for Science Teaching.  Ifrah Mohamed was awarded a South Western Sydney Scholarship for TAFE which she is using to complete a Business Administration Diploma.

Auburn Girls' High School has been recognised for many achievements over the past few years.  The School has received Two Director General Awards.  We are only school in New South Wales to have achieved this. The first Director General's Award was achieved in 1997 for its Middle Schools Project (refer to Teams) and the second in 2002 for its Productive Pedagogy Project.

Students have also represented the school in various activities including sports, debating, musical performances, catering and state wide competitions.  Students have the opportunity in being awarded Gold Awards, Gold Trophies and Gold Cups.  Each year a student from each year is awarded the Peer Support Award.
