Auburn Girls High School is committed to excellence and equity in education .The school promotes an inclusive and educationally challenging environment. The school actively shares examples of successful programs with other schools.

Auburn Girls High School was established in 1961 as a comprehensive girls school and is supported by the Priority Schools Funding Program (PSFP), a federally funded program from the Department of Education and Training (DET). The school serves students from the Auburn Granville area, as well as catering for a growing number of out of area enrolments.  The local community is a diverse mixture of socio-economic groups and cultural backgrounds. 

The school promotes unity and values diversity by establishing close links with parents and the wider community.
