The SRC has been given a much higher profile with expanded responsibilities and a regular publicity spot at the weekly school assembly.  The SRC has organised fund raising for a number of charities and for the victims of the Asian Tsunami.  The SRC began work to renovate the caretaker's cottage in the schools grounds as a venue for parent and student meetings and SRC training events.

The SRC has been given a greater role in school planning and decision making.  A number of SRC members took art, wit staff, in reviewing the school's Welfare and Discipline Policy.  The SRC has worked with KPMG design staff to redesign the school crest and motto and school documents such as letterhead, folders and business cards.

In 2005, the SRC asked to review the school uniform and worked for most of the year on this project.  See the results under the New School Uniform.
